WWE legend Jerry Lawler has returned home from hospital after suffering a minor stroke – his third since 2018.
According Memphis Fox13, the stroke has affected the 75-year-old’s right side and also impaired his vision. His caregiver revealed that Lawler can still talk and walk, but will have to rest for several weeks.
Due to his latest health scare, Lawler has been forced to cancel his upcoming appearances.
This includes his planned outing for this weekend’s HorrorHound in Cincinnati.
“We received word that, due to some personal matters, Jerry Lawler is unable to get to Cincinnati this weekend,” the event organisers said on social media. “The King hopes to make up the appearance in 2026.”
For Lawler, this is the third stroke he has suffered since 2018. On top of that, he has been battling various health issues over the last decade.
Jerry Lawler’s worrying health history
One of Lawler’s most high-profile health scares took place during a live episode of RAW in 2012.
While working as the commentator for the hit wrestling program, Lawler collapsed at the announcer’s table.
Upon receiving CPR and multiple defibrillator shocks, he was transported to hospital where he had emergency angioplasty and stents.

According to the WWE, ‘The King’ was clinically dead before being revived and later stabilized.
Six years later, Lawler suffered a stroke at home. Following a period of time in the intensive care unit he initially had speech problems.
The former wrestler later reported recovery of speech and was cleared to resume appearances.
Back in 2023, he was again hospitalized after a severe stroke. Multiple news outlets reported significant short-term effects on speech and motor function and a prolonged rehabilitation period.
Multiple wrestling news sites claimed that Lawler continued to experience some lasting difficulties with speech, writing and mobility despite making public appearances and interviews.
