‘YOU SOLD OUT’ – WWE FANS SPAM LIVE STREAM AS LONDON IS SNUBBED IN HUGE WRESTLEMANIA REVEAL

Wrestling fans have accused the WWE of selling out following a shock WrestleMania reveal on Friday.

Chief content officer Triple H was joined by a host of WWE legends in a Las Vegas live stream as he announced that WrestleMania would be heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027.

The WWE’s version of the Super Bowl has never taken place outside of North America, meaning the 2027 event will end a four-decade tradition.

The announcement came as a blow to European fans who had been hoping for a London-based Mania.

“Today we are here to talk about what’s next in the legacy of WrestleMania,” said Triple H.

“History will undoubtedly be made again,” he added. “We could not be more excited by this opportunity.”

Turki Alashikh, who is the head of entertainment in Saudi Arabia, has vowed to ‘respect’ the legacy of WrestleMania. He has also promised to take the historic event to new heights.

Alashikh said: “As part of Riyadh Season in 2027, our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania unlike anything the world has ever seen.”

The WWE brought out their big guns for the announcement, with Triple H being joined on stage by the likes of The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Bianca Belair, Stephanie Vaquer, Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan were also in the background.

Despite throwing heavyweight star power, WWE fans did not react well to the announcement.

Many took to the comments section, writing: “You sold out.”

Others commented the name of WWE’s main competitors, AEW.

WrestleMania not heading to London

WWE’s ties with Saudi Arabia have become stronger in recent years.

The 2026 edition of the Royal Rumble was already scheduled to take place in Riyadh, meaning many fans already expected the WrestleMania news to follow shortly.

Some hoped that the UK would host the Showcase of the Immortals.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has previously flirted with the idea of having the event at Wembley.

However, it appears the UK capital will have to wait a few more years before landing the biggest wrestling spectacle on the planet.
