TRISH STRATUS’ TOUCHING INSTAGRAM POST AS MOTHER ALICE PASSES AWAY

Trish Stratus has announced the heartbreaking death of her mother, Alice Stratigeas, following a battle with cancer.

The WWE Hall of Famer revealed the news in an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday. She admitted that finding the right words took time. “My mama is gone. I don’t even know how to write this… she passed last week and I haven’t been able to find the words,” Stratus wrote.

At that point, she called her mom her “best friend” and “safe place,” noting Alice supported her through every stage of life. “She was always there, and now she won’t be,” Stratus said.

In addition, she reminded fans of her mother’s constant presence. “You’ve all seen her by my side – cheering me on from the crowd, along for my travels, exceeding expectations as a Nana – practically a second mom to my children.

“My kids only know a life where their Nana was always there. Explaining to them that she won’t be there anymore was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do.”

Furthermore, Stratus highlighted her mother’s courage. “She fought through so many battles in her life with a strength that amazed me. Even in her hardest days, she was still thinking of everyone else first. That was my mama: selfless, brave, and full of love.”

She then added, “You are my literal fighting spirit, and dammit, I’m gonna miss you so much.” Stratus also promised her children will always remember “what the incredible woman their Nana was.”

Trish Stratus remains widely regarded as one of WWE’s greatest female performers, with a record women’s title reign lasting 448 days. She retired in 2006, yet returned for several major matches, including earlier this year.

Even with her wrestling legacy, Stratus often reminded fans that family came first. Just two weeks ago, she cancelled an appearance in Wales to remain close to her mother, writing, “My mom needs me by her side right now.”

Now, the loss has left a void she admits words cannot fill. “My heart feels broken in a way I can’t describe,” she wrote. “Life will never feel the same.”
