TRIPLE H BREAKS SILENCE AS BROCK LESNAR MAKES SHOCK WWE RETURN AMID LAWSUIT

Triple H has broken his silence as Brock Lesnar made a shock return to WWE two years after the former champion disappeared from programming during a major legal scandal.

Lesnar appeared after Sunday night’s main event between Cody Rhodes and John Cena. Rhodes had just reclaimed the WWE Universal Championship when Lesnar stormed the ring and dropped Cena with an F-5 before making a swift exit.

The moment marked Lesnar’s first appearance since SummerSlam 2023, where he lost a singles match to Rhodes.

WWE originally planned for Lesnar to feature at the 2024 Royal Rumble but pulled him from the show. That move followed reports linking him to Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon, one of the biggest WWE scandals in recent years.

The lawsuit later named Lesnar, though it did not list him as a defendant.

WWE stopped referencing Lesnar publicly during that period. UFC great Daniel Cormier even claimed last month that Lesnar had landed on TKO’s internal “ban list.” TKO never addressed that report directly.

Despite the silence, Lesnar stayed listed as an active roster member on WWE’s website.

In August 2024, Triple H told the Daily Mail: “If and when he decides that he would like to do something, we’d be open to the conversation.”

On night two of SummerSlam, Triple H addressed Brock Lesnar making his return publicly. During the post-show, fans chanted “We want Kross,” a reference to Karrion Kross. Triple H misheard it as “We want Brock,” and fired back: “You want Brock? You’ve got him.”

He followed that up with a full statement.

“My reaction was exactly what I thought it was gonna be, which was, if there had been a roof on this place, it wouldn’t be here anymore,” he said.

“The dynamic in the room in WWE changes when The Beast is here.

“Seeing Brock Lesnar come back, anything that you thought was happening sort of all goes out the window because the factor of Brock now just changes that dynamic so incredibly. It makes it unpredictable.”

Triple H also hinted at plans for Lesnar and Cena to continue their long-running feud as part of Cena’s final run.

He added: “One of the first things I said to him [Cena, before his retirement tour] is, ‘Who do you want, and how?’ And we’re working through that.”
