LINDA HOGAN SLAMS EMMYS FOR HULK HOGAN SNUB, SUSPECTS POLITICS BEHIND OMISSION

The 2025 Emmy Awards drew criticism after Hulk Hogan was left out of the “In Memoriam” segment during Sunday’s broadcast.

The wrestling legend, who died in July at the age of 71, did not appear in the televised tribute. Instead, he was listed only in a digital scroll on the Academy’s website alongside other missing names, including Tony Todd and Jerry Adler.

Fans quickly voiced their anger online. As featured in the Daily Mail, one wrote: “Hulk Hogan got snubbed at the Emmys memoriam.” Another added: “No mention of Hulk Hogan during the In Memoriam segment at the Emmys. Disgraceful. Brother was on TV for 40 years!”

Hogan’s ex-wife Linda told TMZ she believes the omission was no accident.

She said: “It may have been political, due to his right-wing embrace and support later in life — including speaking at the RNC for President Trump last year — despite the fact the wrestling superstar supported both sides of the aisle.”

Linda insisted her former husband deserved better recognition. “Hulk was a ratings king who was an icon on the small screen for decades … and whether it was on network or pay-per-view, hordes of wrestling fans always tuned in to see Hulk.”

She added that his popularity helped introduce wrestling to mainstream audiences. “Through his stardom, Hulk opened the door for people who were never wrestling fans to become followers … ’cause of the energy and goodwill he put out there.”

Linda also pointed to NBC’s debt to Hogan. “NBC in particular owes a great deal of respect and gratitude to Hulk … since the network premiered Saturday Night’s Main Event in 1985, the first wrestling show on prime time featuring stars from what was then the WWF … and Hulk’s appearances made it a ratings success.”

Her frustration was clear: “I really can’t tell you why they left him out … just a guess considering the way he was treated at his last appearance in LA.”

For many viewers, Hogan’s absence overshadowed the segment. Alongside him, Jonathan Joss and Danielle Spencer were also left out, sparking further criticism.

But the loudest backlash came for the wrestling icon. As one fan wrote on X, featured by the Daily Mail: “Hulk Hogan got snubbed at the Emmys memoriam.”
