Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has spoken out after his son Raja became the focus of a disturbing scene in California.
The 25-year-old MMA fighter attended a Knokx Pro Wrestling event on Saturday night. As a result, what followed left fans shocked, organisers furious, and police investigating.
Before the main flashpoint, Raja clashed outside the venue with Stuart Smith, also known as Syko Stu. The former US Army veteran was due to wrestle moments later when tensions boiled over.
During Smith’s match with another opponent, Raja stormed the ring. Video shows him lifting Smith, slamming him onto the canvas, and throwing repeated strikes before others intervened. Smith appeared unconscious in the footage.

Rampage Jackson said on social media that he believed Smith staged the confrontation. “Raja was unexpectedly hit in the side of the head by him moments before Smith’s match,” he said.
“Raja was told that he could get his ‘payback’ in the ring. I thought it was a part of the show. It was bad judgement.”
“Raja is an MMA fighter, not a pro wrestler, and had no business involved in an event like this. I don’t condone my son’s actions at all.
“As a father, I’m deeply concerned with his health and the well-being of Mr Smith. I’m very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr Smith will make a speedy recovery.”
Raja Jackson condemned
Knokx Pro Wrestling released their own statement. “This egregious act is reprehensible and never should have occurred. In the 17 years of operation of KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, there has never been anything as heinous take place such as this and we apologize to our patrons and fans.”
Police confirmed that they were called to the venue and took a report. The LAPD said an investigation is now underway.
A source told the outlet Raja would “never again be allowed” at a Knokx Pro event. Wrestlers at the show described the attack as “tragic” and “barbaric,” with families and children present in the crowd.
After the incident, Smith went to hospital. By late Saturday, Rampage said he was “awake and stable.”
In the meantime, Raja Jackson now faces scrutiny from fans, organisers, and law enforcement after a violent night that stunned the wrestling world.
