UFC STAR SEAN STRICKLAND SHOCKS WITH CLAIM HE WAS ‘EXCITED’ TO WATCH FATAL SHOOTING OF CHARLIE KIRK

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has sparked fury online following his dark admission concerning the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk.

The American political commentator was killed on Wednesday while speaking to an outdoor audience at Utah Valley University.

Kirk was rushed to Timpanogos Valley Hospital following the shooting, however his death was confirmed not long after.

Strickland opened up on the situation by recording a social media video while driving.

He said: “I’m on Twitter and somebody says, ‘Hey did you hear that Charlie Kirk got shot?’ And my gut reaction was like, ‘No I f***ing didn’t, but I’m excited.

“Like I felt this little dopamine spike in me where I’m like: ‘Dude I want to see the video’.

“And then I see in the video, real bad, real bad, but I still kind of excited from it. Like, ‘oh s**t,’ you know? Like I could feel like my muscles tensing.”

Strickland opens up on his controversial claims

Strickland claims his humanity returned moments after watching the footage on social media.

“You start thinking, man, like how the f**k did I become such a sociopath?

“Like how am I so disattached from human beings. I don’t even see people, I just see potential threats.”

The 34-year-old was making a point about people becoming desensitised to seeing human tragedies online.

He added: “We’re watching little kids get pulled out of buildings because maybe somebody’s launched a rocket, we are so desensitised, we’re so socialised.

“It’s so sad that we let these people ruin America and it’s like taking the soul from us.

“I’m just numb to seeing people die online. Just numb to tragedy in 2025. Welcome to the internet. The erosion of humanity one reel at a time.”

Strickland, who has a history of making controversial comments, received significant criticism over his post.
