Tennis icon Serena Williams has opened up on her dramatic weight loss and revealed the key secret to her body transformation.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner shocked her fans last month after revealing she lost 31lbs over the course of last year.
Williams admitted she had a helping hand in her weight loss journey in the form of a GLP-1 medication.
The 43-year-old claims she has taken weight loss drug Zepbound, which helps to regular blood sugar and curb appetite.
GLP-1 is a natural hormone that is found in a whole host of popular weight loss drugs, including in brands such as Ozempic and Mounjaro.
Williams made the revelation in People Magazine and the TODAY show, which came just weeks after shocking her social media followers with post-workout selfies.

Williams opens up on weight struggles
The American tennis superstar stepped away from the sport after the 2022 edition of the US Open.
Five years earlier, Williams became a mother for the first time and revealed she struggled with her weight after giving birth.
She also admitted that her postpartum struggles continued after the birth of her second daughter in 2023.
The six-time US Open champion explained she experienced frustration with her weight despite continuing her healthy lifestyle – something she was accustomed to as a professional athlete.
“I never was able to get to the weight I needed to be no matter what I did, no matter how much I trained,” she told People.
“It was crazy because I’d never been in a place like that in my life where I worked so hard, ate so healthy and could never get down to where I needed to be at.”
“I had never taken shortcuts in my career and always worked really hard. I know what it takes to be the best.
“So it was very frustrating to do all the same things and never be able to change that number on the scale or the way my body looked.”
Williams claims that the weight loss drug has left her feeling more active, with her joints in less pain and feeling ‘pretty good.’
