FLORIDA PANTHERS WILL RAISE STANLEY CUP BEFORE ICE WARS TAKES BLOODY CENTER STAGE

The Florida Panthers are back-to-back Stanley Cup champions. They’ll raise another banner in October, bask in the glory for a night, and then… turn their rink into a fist-fighting free-for-all with Ice Wars.

On October 10, Amerant Bank Arena hosts BKFC Ice Wars: Bare Knuckle Brawls. No sticks, no pucks, no need to pretend. It’s hockey distilled down to the part everyone really shows up for… the fights!

The concept is almost too perfect. Hockey fans admit they secretly enjoy the scraps more than the goals. Now it’s hockey without the neutral zone trap, just fists flying across the ice.

And this isn’t some backroom novelty. It’s the first time a bare-knuckle card takes place on real NHL ice. Forget stickhandling, these guys are balancing on three-millimetre blades while trying to knock someone’s teeth out. Grace and violence all at once.

The main event features Nick Laporte, a 6-foot-5 former enforcer from Ontario who flattened his last opponent in round one. He meets Sébastien Lafferière, a battle-hardened veteran of Quebec’s famously brutal LNAH. One brings the power, the other the scars.

The co-main event is even more ridiculous. Charles “Boston Strong” Rosa, a UFC veteran with 19 wins, squares off against Reid Krasowski, a Canadian semi-pro hockey player who decided skating and scrapping beats chasing the NHL dream.

Also on the card is 275-pound Alberta heavyweight Catlin Big Snake, who has one of the most intimidating names in sports, and the first women’s fight in Ice Wars history, matching boxer Christina “The Tiger” Barry against Illinois hockey veteran Valerie Ruley.

Ice Wars promoters are billing it as a one-of-a-kind event. “Fans should expect an unforgettable and thrilling atmosphere,” said senior VP Zane Collings.

For Panthers fans, it’s a perfect encore. One night you get the Cup celebration, the next you get the most honest version of hockey there is – bare-knuckle ice fights with no referee stepping in too soon.
