WATCH: JAYDEN DANIELS SUFFERS GRUESOME INJURY AS SEAHAWKS DESTROY COMMANDERS

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a gruesome arm injury during Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Commanders trailed 38-7 when the 24-year-old went down late in the fourth quarter.

Daniels scrambled toward the right sideline, trying to extend the play near the goal line, before he was dragged down awkwardly.

He landed on his left arm, which bent sharply beneath him as his hand hit the turf.

Trainers rushed on immediately as teammates waved for medical help. Daniels’ left elbow was immobilized before he slowly walked off the field with support from staff.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport later confirmed Daniels had suffered a dislocated left elbow. X-rays were negative, but he will undergo an MRI to determine the full extent of the damage.

“The belief is it’s not as bad as it could’ve been,” Rapoport reported. “But Daniels will miss several games.”

It was a cruel blow for the Commanders, who dropped to 3-6 after another heavy defeat.

Veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota replaced Daniels for the closing minutes and will start while the Heisman Trophy winner recovers.

Head coach Dan Quinn said after the game that he was “gutted” for his young quarterback, though he declined to give further details before the scan results.

Fans on social media reacted with shock and sympathy as clips of the Jayden Daniels injury spread online.

Many questioned why he was still in the game with the result long gone, calling it “a coaching mistake that risked a franchise player.”

Others simply sent prayers, describing the replay as “tough to watch” and “one of the nastiest injuries of the season.”

Daniels has already battled multiple injuries this year, missing three games with knee and hamstring issues.

He had been one of the Commanders’ few bright spots, throwing eight touchdowns and rushing for another before the setback.

A standout at LSU, Daniels won the 2023 Heisman Trophy and broke NCAA records for total yards and passer rating.

He was selected second overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, leading Washington to the playoffs and earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Daniels’ rise makes him one of the NFL’s most exciting dual-threat, but his fearless nature exposes him to hits.

As of Tuesday morning, his long-term status remains unclear, though early signs suggest he avoided a fracture or ligament tear.
