NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has addressed recent rumors linking superstar singer Taylor Swift with the Super Bowl halftime show.
Swift, who is the fiancee of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, has been increasingly linked with the halftime extravaganza.
Goodell appeared on the ‘Today’ program ahead of the start of the new NFL season, and spoke about the growing rumors.
The commissioner revealed that Swift is ‘welcome at any time’ to perform on the biggest sporting stage in America.
When pressed on whether Swift would headline the halftime show at the next Super Bowl, Goodell was optimistic.
He said: “We would always love to have Taylor play.
“She is a special, special talent and obviously, she would be welcome at any time.”
Goodell was not giving anything away when asked whether the wheels are in motion, but he did use the word ‘maybe’.
Jay-Z and Roc Nation, who are organising the halftime show for Super Bowl LX, will make the final decision.

Super Bowl halftime show rarely disappoints
One of the great things about the Super Bowl is the entertainment factor during the halftime show.
Organisers have rarely failed to deliver, with some of the biggest names featuring on the grandest American Football stage.
Last year, Kendrick Lamar was the headline act. The musician was joined by the likes of SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams, and Mustard in a memorable performance.
A year before that, Usher performed alongside music juggernauts Alicia Keys, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., will.i.am, Lil Jon, and Ludacris.
Back in 2023, it was the turn of Rihanna to set the stage alight. Unlike other performers, the Barbadian superstar entertained the crowd as a solo act.
