Colombian pop sensation Karol G stole the show in Sao Paulo as the NFL made a special appearance in Brazil.
The Los Angeles Charges picked up an impressive victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, but it was Karol G’s fiery performance that stole all the headlines.
The multi-time Latin Grammy winner performed on the halftime show at the Corinthians Arena.
Rocking an eye-catching carnival-inspired outfit, the singer powered through her set in style.
The overall reaction to the performance on social media was a positive one. In fact, the performance was a lot better than the game itself.
For Latin music fans, this was an unforgettable performance. Karol G – whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro – is arguably one of the biggest Latin artists on the planet.

Her halftime show was part of the NFL’s push towards a Latin audience. In fact, the league streamed the entire event worldwide on YouTube.
As well as Karol G, the NFL also featured a rendition of Brazil’s national anthem by Ana Castela and a jazz performance of The Star-Spangled Banner by Kamasi Washington.
Tim Tubito, who is the NFL Senior Director for Global Game Presentation, said: “With our incredible NFL fan base in Brazil and across the world, we worked hand-in-hand with our YouTube partners to tap into the larger Latin Pop music scene with an innovative, global artist.”
When it came to the action on the field, there was certainly a lot to talk about.
The Chargers powered to a 13-3 lead after an impressive first-half display from quarterback Justin Herbert – and a shocking showing from the Chiefs.
Despite a somewhat improved second-half showing from Kansas after the interval, it was the Los Angeles side that stormed to a 27-21 success.
