Rachel Bush appears to have spilled the beans on Jordan Poyer’s NFL retirement plans following an innocuous post on social media.
Poyer represented the Buffalo Bills from 2017 to 2023, but he has now re-signed with the team for one final NFL campaign.
The 34-year-old, who played for the Miami Dolphins last season, is set to join Buffalo’s practice squad ahead of the first round of fixtures.
The NFL safety enjoyed some of his best years during his first spell in Buffalo, and he will be looking to recreate some of that magic in 2025.
Poyer was named a first-team All-Pro back in 2021 and a Pro Bowler the following year. The player was able to established himself as a key defensive piece of a Bills team that became regular title contenders.
Last season Poyer made 16 appearances for Miami, with the team finishing the season with an 8-9 record. The free safety will now re-join the Bills as they look to join the championship conversation yet again.

What did Bush post about Poyer’s retirement?
While the news around Poyer’s return to Buffalo was welcomed, Bush appears to have suggested that this will be his final season.

Bush also took to her Instagram story as she celebrated her husband’s return to Buffalo.
She added: “LOVE YOU ALL! ‘We are so excited to be back!! Thank you all soo much for all the DMs texts etc etc!!”
