Hailee Steinfeld says she is ready for the next chapter of her life with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
The actress told Bustle she is already thinking about having children with her husband and praised Allen for bringing calm and clarity to her life.
“Oh my God, absolutely,” Steinfeld said. “That inner peace that you have, that rock, that solid, consistent part of your life is indescribable.
“I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world. Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.”
Plans for a family
When asked directly if she wants kids, Steinfeld didn’t hesitate.
“Of course,” she said.
The 28-year-old actress, who is earning Oscar buzz for her role in Sinners, has been married to Allen since May 2025. The couple tied the knot in Ventura, California, after dating for nearly two years.
Allen, 29, has also spoken openly about their relationship.
“She’s everything I need in my life,” he told ESPN’s Marty Smith before the Bills’ bye week.
“Getting married was the coolest, it was the most important day of my life. I get to understand that what I do is not normal, but I’d also be content with a different part of my life, however that may have looked.”
Josh Allen enjoying another MVP season
The Bills star is enjoying another strong season in Buffalo. After signing a six-year, $330 million contract extension in March, Allen has led the team to a 6-2 record and remains among the frontrunners for the 2025 NFL MVP.
Through eight games, he has completed 70.4% of his passes for 1,833 yards and 13 touchdowns, while rushing for 280 yards and seven more scores.
His ability to balance football and family life has drawn praise from teammates and coaches. Backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky recently said Allen’s relationship with Steinfeld “only makes him better.”
The former MVP continues to break records. In October, he became the first quarterback in NFL history with 46 games featuring both a rushing and passing touchdown, surpassing Cam Newton’s mark.
Allen has called Steinfeld his “best friend” and regularly credits her with helping him keep perspective during the season.
“It’s the best,” he said on The Fitz & Whit Podcast. “Honestly, I truly enjoy it, I love it. There’s a lot of freedom in it. And you know what? We’re always going to be in the honeymoon phase. How about that?”
