Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen are expecting their first child together.
Steinfeld shared the news on Friday through her Beau Society Substack newsletter, revealing the pregnancy at the end of a personal roundup reflecting on the past year.
How the announcement was shared
The final entry in Steinfeld’s post was a short video filmed in the snow. She and Allen held hands beside a small snowman. Steinfeld wore a sweater embroidered with the word “mother,” while Allen knelt to kiss her baby bump.
The video first appeared on Substack before spreading across social media, where it was later shared by the NFL.
The announcement came one day after Steinfeld’s 29th birthday. She used the newsletter to reflect on the year leading up to the milestone.
“28 was wild, beautiful, humbling, and full of the kind of moments that sneak up and change you quietly,” she wrote. “This year, I’ve been reminded of how precious life is.”
Steinfeld and Allen both turned 29 this year. The couple married earlier in 2025 at a private ceremony in California after being linked publicly since 2023.
Reaction from sport and entertainment
Messages of congratulations followed quickly. Millie Bobby Brown, Gigi Hadid, Sophie Turner, and Ashley Benson were among those to share public well-wishes.
The news followed weeks of quiet speculation after Steinfeld attended the Governors Awards in Los Angeles in November. She appeared in a grey Stéphane Rolland Couture gown featuring a structured, ruched midsection.
The design concealed any visible baby bump during red carpet appearances.
Allen’s NFL season continues
Allen and the Bills enter the weekend with a 9–4 record ahead of a matchup against the New England Patriots. The game carries implications for the AFC East standings.
Allen previously credited Steinfeld with playing a major role during his MVP-winning 2024–25 season.
“She’s been a huge part,” Allen said at the time. “The morale, the support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan, my biggest supporter.”
Steinfeld has spoken openly about Allen’s presence during key moments in her own career. In April, he joined her at the after-party for Sinners, the Ryan Coogler-directed film expected to feature prominently during the 2026 awards season.
“It means everything,” Steinfeld said. “I’m so proud of him and everything that he does, every single day, let alone during the season. I’m just so grateful to be able to share this with him as well.”
Weeks before the pregnancy announcement, Steinfeld told Bustle she wanted to have children with Allen.
“I literally thank God every day that I found my person,” she said. “Life makes sense. Everything makes sense.”
