Josh Allen’s wedding to Hailee Steinfeld was one of the summer’s biggest events, drawing attention far beyond Buffalo. The quarterback and the Hollywood actress tied the knot in Santa Barbara on May 31, surrounded by family, friends, and a select group of Bills teammates.
Dalton Kincaid was among the lucky few invited. The tight end, now entering his third NFL season, has given fans a glimpse behind the curtain.
Speaking while promoting a new partnership, Kincaid described the day as everything a wedding should be. “It was a fun wedding,” he said. “It was personal. Everyone was just living in the moment and that’s exactly what you want.”
That personal atmosphere wasn’t by chance. In her Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld revealed the couple enforced a strict no-phone policy during the ceremony.
The couple told guests to stay present in the moment, rather than watch the day unfold through their screens. “Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made,” Steinfeld later wrote.
Kincaid has also noticed a difference in Allen since the wedding. The quarterback, who turned 29 this year, now carries himself a little differently.
“With him now being a married man, I think he’s definitely developed more of an aura,” Kincaid said. “I think this is the first time I’ve ever used that as an adjective.”
Still, he stressed that Allen hasn’t lost the qualities that make him so popular in the locker room. “Josh is the same old guy,” Kincaid explained.
“I don’t think he’ll ever really change. He’s as genuine as it gets. It’s not hard to want to lay it all out there for him.”
The Bills will need every ounce of that leadership when the new season begins on September 7 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Buffalo have reached the Divisional Round five years running, with two trips to the AFC Championship Game in that span. Yet a Super Bowl appearance has remained elusive since 1993.
Kincaid isn’t shying away from those expectations. “We really preach playoff-caliber,” he said. “You can’t win a Super Bowl unless you make it to the playoffs. The first goal is just making it there. From there, it’s all eyes on winning the big one.”
For now, though, Allen is enjoying life as a newlywed. Forget Swift and Kelce. The Josh Allen wedding remains the NFL’s storybook event of the summer.
