New footage has emerged of the Starbucks incident involving former NFL star Terrell Suggs brandishing a gun, which led to the former-Baltimore Ravens man’s arrest last year.
Suggs, a former NFL defensive end, was arrested in April 2024 as a result of an altercation in a Starbucks drive-thru. His arrest was on charges of threatening and intimidating, as well as disorderly conduct with a weapon.
The incident occurred in March 2024, though the trial did not take place until 2025, when, in February, Suggs entered into a plea agreement to serve 100 hours of community service, spend time on supervised probation and complete anger management counselling.
A video has since emerged of the incident, which shows Suggs reverse towards the car behind him in the drive-thru. There is then a verbal altercation, and after Suggs takes his order, it continues until the former NFL star waves a gun out of his driver’s side window while he moves away from the service window.

Following the video surfacing, Suggs’ representative Denise White said: “There was an incident at a Starbucks drive-through in which Terrell attempted to safely back out of the lane when the individual behind him became hostile and falsely accused Terrell of making contact with his vehicle, which did not occur.
“The situation escalated when the individual exited his car and approached Terrell in a confrontational manner. Notably, the individual had not placed an order in the Starbucks line, which led Terrell to believe he might continue to follow him, causing Terrell to feel threatened.
“At no point did Terrell point a firearm at the individual. He made it clear that he was prepared to protect himself if necessary. Arizona is an open carry state, and Terrell is aware of the responsibilities that come with firearm ownership.
“He recognizes that he should not have displayed his weapon, but his actions were solely in response to feeling threatened and were not intended to escalate the situation further.”
It is not the first time weapons have been involved in legal proceedings against Suggs. In September 2012, he was accused of punching and then dragging then-girlfriend Candace Williams beside his car while his two children were inside.
A temporary protective order was placed against him, which meant he was required to surrender seven firearms, including an AK-47.
