In 2020, with his rookie contract with the Kansas City Chiefs coming to an end, quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed a 10-year, $450million deal with the side.
It’s the largest contract ever handed out to an NFL player.
Mahomes has put his massive wealth to good use with some interesting purchases, investments and gifts for others.
Here, we have looked into everything he has bought on his $450million contract.
Missouri mansion
When he signed his contract in 2020, Mahomes decided to spend $400,000 on a plot of land which over time has become one of the craziest homes in the world.
He said: “I actually decided to get the land, to get ready to build that right when I signed my contract here in Kansas City,”
“I knew I wanted to be here [in Kansas City]. So when I did that, I was like, ‘I’mma be here, I might as well build the exact house I want.'”
He has since plundered a reported $8million to make the plot of land his home.
The exterior includes a family pool with a swim-up bar, a private pond, a fire pit and the main attractions, a par-3 golf hole and a 50-yard football field.
More entertainment for Mahomes inside includes a gym, a basketball court and a movie theatre.
Three more properties
Mahomes previously lived in a two-bedroom condo in Kansas City, bought for $350,000, and also bought a Kansas City ranch house for $1.8million, before putting it on the market for $2.9million.
A fourth property is in Texas, with the four-bedroom mansion setting him back almost $3.5million in 2020. It’s said to feature a 500-bottle wine room and a putting green as some of the main points of interest.
Multiple cars
As with a lot of sports stars, Mahomes has a flashy collection of cars.
The quarterback’s garage includes: a Ferrari 812 Superfast, a Lamborghini Urus, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and he has also reportedly gifted a Genesis G70 and a Ferrari F8 Tributo to wife Brittany.
Diamond engagement ring
Keeping with Brittany, Mahomes has spared no expense to show his love to his wife, who he married in 2022.
The diamond engagement ring he proposed to her with is reported to have cost in the region of $350,000-800,000.
Wedding venue
It’s also fair to assume that the pair’s wedding cost a pretty penny.
The Hawaii lodge they were married in has a known rental cost of $2million, and that’s before any of the extras are accounted for.
Personal trainerÂ
Mahomes pays one of the best trainers in the business to keep him in shape during football season. As well as work with the Chiefs staff, Mahomes trains with Bobby Stroupe three times a week.
He’s said to train with him two days before a game, and one and two days after, for proper preparation and then recovery.
Personal chef
Mahomes, like a number of sports stars, employs a private chef to cook his meals for him and his family.

Offensive line gifts
It’s customary at Christmas for NFL quarterbacks to give their offensive line gifts as thanks for protecting them from big hits and letting them make plays.
As one of the best QBs in the league, Mahomes has a lot to thank his protectors for. That’s seen him splash the cash on some incredible gifts for his offensive line.
In 2022, he gifted them custom golf clubs and bags and the following year, he carried on the theme by buying them all custom golf carts. Those cost more than $100,000.

Other gifts given to his linemen include rolexes, leather cowboy boots and Oakley sunglasses.
1587 Prime restaurant
One of Mahomes’ most recent investments is in 1587 Prime Steakhouse, which opened in September 2025.
He launched the business along with Chiefs team-mate Travis Kelce and Noble 33.
A 40 oz. Wagyu Tomahawk steak there costs $345, giving a hint as to the value of the business as a whole.
Alpine stake
Mahomes – and again Kelce – is part of an investment group led by Otro Capital which purchased a stake in the Alpine F1 team in 2023.
The group owns 24 per cent of the racing team, and it’s not the only sport Mahomes has invested in.
Kansas City team investments
The majority of Mahomes’ other investments are in Kansas City sports teams.
Baseball team the Kansas City Royals, men’s and women’s soccer teams, Sporting Kansas City and the Kansas City Current, also benefit from his investment.
Investment in the latter is largely due to Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, whose passion for women’s sport stems from her time as a college soccer player, before she played one season professionally in Iceland.
