CHIEFS’ CHRIS JONES SHOCKS PRESS CONFERENCE WITH TAYLOR SWIFT THEMED ENTRANCE

Chris Jones stole the show at his weekly press conference by walking in blasting Taylor Swift song The Fate of Ophelia from his phone.

The 31-year-old All-Pro defensive tackle nodded along to the beat before belting out a line from the chorus — “Keep it one hundred on the land, the sea, the sky.”

Reporters laughed as he grinned and kept singing.

A lighter moment in Chiefs Kingdom

The Chiefs are on a crucial three-game winning streak that has alleviated pressure and saved their season.

Jones has been one of the faces of Kansas City’s dynasty, winning three Super Bowls and collecting five Pro Bowl selections in nine seasons.

His new five-year, $158.75 million deal made him the highest-paid defensive tackle in league history. But this time, it was his Swift impression doing the talking.

After answering questions about the Chiefs’ win over Washington and their upcoming trip to Buffalo, Jones played the track again as he left the room. “Y’all like it?” he asked with a smile.

It’s not the first time Chris Jones Taylor Swift headlines have appeared. He admitted in a 2023 documentary that the locker room went wild when Swift first showed up to watch Travis Kelce play.

“Taylor Swift here? For real? With Travis? Oh my God!” he recalled. “We were like, ‘Travis pulled Taylor Swift!’”

Two years later, the excitement clearly hasn’t faded. Kelce’s recent brought out a new touchdown celebration, which looked suspiciously like choreography from Swift’s Ophelia video.

Jones’ moment summed up how much the team has embraced the pop-culture crossover.

Off the field, Jones continues to be one of the league’s most dominant and entertaining players. Last season, he finished with five sacks and another All-Pro selection, proving his influence extends beyond press-room sing-alongs.

Still, moments like Thursday’s remind everyone that football can be fun too. At least when your winning.
