CHIEFS BOSS CLARK HUNT HAILS TAYLOR SWIFT FOR UNIQUE NFL IMPACT

Clark Hunt hailed Taylor Swift and her impact as the Kansas City Chiefs launched their new ESPN series ‘The Kingdom’ on Sunday night.

Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt walked the red carpet and admitted Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce has reshaped the fanbase. He told The Hollywood Reporter:

“It certainly has opened up an opportunity for us to connect with a new demographic from a fan standpoint. I’m pretty sure that the Chiefs ranked No. 1 among NFL teams in the female demographic. She clearly has had a big impact.”

Hunt insisted the real story remains the couple’s happiness. “The first thing to mention here is how happy we are for both Kelce and Swift in their relationship,” he said. “That’s the most important thing.”

The Kingdom is a six-part documentary covering Kansas City’s push for a Super Bowl three-peat. It also shows new glimpses into Kelce and Swift’s story.

Hunt told People: “The Kingdom gives fans a fun … little peek into Travis’ relationship with Taylor. There were definitely some elements of that where there were some new things that we learned.”

He added: “We all lived the experience of having her join the Chiefs Kingdom a couple of years ago, and hearing the recounting of her coming to that first game, really from her perspective, I thought was really unique.”

That debut came on September 23, 2023. Swift sat with Travis’ mother Donna Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce scored a touchdown as the Chiefs hammered the Bears 41-10, and Swift’s celebrations went global.

The relationship became public the next month when they were photographed hand-in-hand at an SNL afterparty. It quickly grew into one of sport’s most prominent crossovers.

Swift herself reflected on the early days during her New Heights podcast appearance. “On our first date, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl and he looked across the field across the line of scrimmage and saw his brother standing on the other… five feet in front of him on the field,” she said.
