Darby Allin is no stranger to punishment inside an AEW ring, yet last week’s fork injury has left fans wincing.
During the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London, Jon Moxley used a fork as a weapon, driving it directly into Allin’s ear in one of the most disturbing moments of the night.
Images released after the event reveal the gruesome aftermath. Blood poured from Allin’s ear, with a clear puncture wound visible where the utensil pierced the flesh.

The sequence unfolded as Allin sat tied to a chair by Gable Kidd, leaving him helpless while Moxley twisted the fork and shocked the O2 Arena crowd.
Even restrained, Allin’s response was defiant. He spat in Moxley’s face before Claudio Castagnoli lifted him from the chair and slammed him onto the canvas. Against the odds, Allin’s team still walked away with the win, though his ear told a very different story.
Darby Allin keeps the hits coming
There was little time for recovery. Just three days later on AEW Dynamite, Castagnoli threw Allin out of the ring and through the announce table in another violent spot. It was further evidence that the Darby Allin fork incident has not slowed his appetite for extreme risks.
Such scenes are not new in his career. He has hurled himself through panes of glass, been powerbombed inside a body bag packed with thumbtacks, and even dragged behind a car during a feud with Team Taz. He later admitted one stunt with The Young Bucks in 2024 left him feeling he had “flown too close to the sun.”

Allin’s reckless reputation extends beyond wrestling. Earlier this year he climbed Mount Everest, describing it as a personal mission before returning to AEW.
Company boss Tony Khan has even admitted to blocking some of his more dangerous ideas, including a pitch to be struck by a vehicle.
The images from London underline how far Allin is willing to go. His ear will remain a reminder of the fork spot, a moment now etched among the most graphic of his career.
