Donald Trump reignited his long-running feud with Taylor Swift by posting on Truth Social that she is “NO LONGER HOT.” He made the comment while praising actress Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle ad, calling it “the HOTTEST out there.”
Trump also claimed Swift was “booed out of the Super Bowl” and accused her of being too “woke.” The post quickly went viral, drawing backlash and reigniting culture war debates online.
According to the Daily Mail, Travis Kelce is staying calm. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has reportedly offered quiet support to Swift, while refusing to engage with Trump publicly.
“Taylor knows exactly how Travis feels about this situation with Trump and privately they are on the same page,” a source told the outlet.
“He is supporting her with continued love and respect, but publicly Travis is going to let Trump be a sandbag and let it slip by – for now.”
Kelce is said to find the comments frustrating but doesn’t want them to disrupt his personal life or preseason preparations.
“Sure, it’s frustrating,” the insider added. “But he is looking to take the high road and only express his frustrations to Taylor and their family.”
Trump’s post originally praised Sweeney’s American Eagle campaign, which plays on the words “jeans” and “genes.”
Critics slammed the ad for allegedly promoting eugenics, but Trump brushed that off. He praised Sweeney, then used the opportunity to drag Swift.
“Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was… she became NO LONGER HOT,” Trump wrote. “Being woke is for losers.”
That post tied together his disdain for Swift, praise for Sweeney (a registered Republican), and attacks on other brands like Jaguar and Bud Light.
Kelce has built a reputation for keeping his political opinions private. Sources say he prefers to offer support behind closed doors and let Swift speak if she chooses.
“He also appreciates how much of a strong woman Taylor is,” the source said. “And if anyone is going to say anything about it, he’d like her to sound off on it if need be.”
With the NFL season approaching and Swift continuing her global tour, both seem focused on their own paths, uninterested in reigniting a feud with Trump.
