WNBA superstar Sophie Cunningham appears to be coping well with her injury after sharing a dancing video on social media.
The Indiana Fever guard tore her MCL during a league clash with Connecticut Sun last month.
Cunningham clashed with Bria Hartley in the second quarter, with the Suns star colliding into her opponent’s knee.
After the game, the Fever star revealed she could hear a distinct ‘pop’ sound during the collision – an indicator of a ligament injury.
The injury will keep Cunningham on the sidelines for the remainder of the WNBA season.
Following the incident, the 29-year-old came out in defence of Hartley, who received a lot of backlash online.
Speaking on her podcast, Cunningham emphasized that there was no ill intent from her opponent. She urged fans to stop vilifying the Suns star.
Incredibly, Cunningham is the third Fever guard to suffer a season-ending injury this season.
Sydney Colson is out for the year with a torn ACL while Aari McDonald broke her foot. The Fever have also been without superstar Caitlin Clark for the majority of the season.

Cunningham stunned her fans by exposing her bare cheeks in a viral Instagram post last week.
The Fever star was at it again on Tuesday, posting a TikTok video in a tiny bikini and her giant leg brace.
Cuningham looked stunning as she wore a two-piece bathing suit and danced to the song ‘I Think I Like You Better When You’re Gone’ by Renee Rapp.
Her fans went wild in the comments, with one posting: “Seriously. You look too good. Cut it out.”
