Miss USA’s costume show turned into a courtside spectacle when Miss Indiana channeled her inner Caitlin Clark.
Sydney Shrewsbury took to the stage in a look inspired by the Indiana Fever star, swapping sequins for swagger and turning the runway into her own arena.
Her outfit featured a glittering crop top and matching shorts in Fever gold and black, complete with Clark’s No. 22 stitched across the front.
The Indiana Fever star has packed arenas, boosted WNBA viewership, and made her No. 22 jersey one of the most sought-after in sports.
Even while sidelined by injury, her name still fills headlines and her influence stretches far beyond the court.
A robe lined with basketball netting hung from her shoulders, and a crystal-studded basketball purse finished the look.
“Reppin Ms. Clark & the Hoosier state with pride!!” she wrote later on Instagram, alongside photos of the costume that lit up social media.
The crowd reaction was instant. Clips of her performance spread fast, with fans calling it “iconic,” “a slam dunk,” and “the best of the night.”
At Miss USA, one of the phases of competition is the state costume, where the contestants display custom outfits that shows admirable qualities of their state.

It was a clever nod to the woman who’s helped redefine women’s sports. Even sidelined by injury, Caitlin Clark’s impact is still everywhere.
It was hard not to notice that the former diver and fitness instructor opted for a rather revealing take. Needless to say, that also went down well on social media.
Other contestants went big too — one dressed as a rocket, another as a Vegas showgirl — but Miss Indiana’s outfit stole the show with a nod to hometown pride.
The Miss USA 2025 final takes place on October 24, and if confidence counts for anything, Miss Indiana has already nailed the warm-up round.
