NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods are engaged, with the couple sharing the news on Christmas Day after five years together.
Woods posted a photo on Instagram captioned “Merry Christmas,” alongside a tree, heart, and ring emoji.
The image showed the couple standing on top of the Empire State Building, with Woods’ engagement ring visible as Towns stood beside her.

The announcement drew reactions from several high-profile friends, including Bella Hadid.
Kylie Jenner also commented on the post, marking a rare public interaction years after Woods’ fallout with the Kardashian-Jenner circle.
How their relationship began
Woods, 28, and Towns, 29, began dating in 2020 after meeting through mutual friends.
Their relationship became public later that year, during a period when Towns was dealing with the death of his mother, Jacqueline Cruz, who died from complications related to COVID-19.
Towns previously spoke about how that time shaped their relationship while appearing on Woods’ Instagram series Regular-ish.
“It just so happened, the COVID came and kind of brought its challenges and it kind of forced us to either pick where our relationship was going to go as friends or something more,” Towns said.
“And we chose the latter.”
Since then, Woods has regularly attended Towns’ games and has been a visible presence during key moments of his career.
Engagement comes during major NBA shift
The engagement follows a significant year for Towns on the court. After spending the first nine seasons of his NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he was traded to the New York Knicks in 2024.
The move placed him alongside Jalen Brunson and coincided with the Knicks’ deepest playoff run in more than two decades.
Towns scored 35 points in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, although New York eventually lost the series.
The proposal, set against the New York skyline, came months after Towns relocated to the city following the trade.
Woods’ public profile
Woods first became a household name through her close friendship with Kylie Jenner, before their relationship fractured publicly in 2019.
She later addressed that episode during an appearance on Red Table Talk and stepped away from the spotlight for a period.
In recent years, Woods has rebuilt her career independently while maintaining a lower public profile.
Her engagement to Towns marks the first time the couple have shared a major personal announcement together.
