The reality star and the Formula One champion sparked rumours after reports of a romantic UK getaway, but a source says the real turning point came at a New Year’s Eve party in Aspen.
According to HELLO!, that night set the tone for everything that followed.
Aspen party sparked early chemistry
Kim and Lewis were both guests at Kate Hudson’s New Year’s Eve party in Aspen, Colorado, a regular winter hotspot for A-list celebrities.
The exclusive guest list included Bella Hadid, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, but insiders say it was Kim and Lewis who drew attention inside the bash.
“Kim and Lewis got people talking at Kate Hudson’s New Year’s Eve Party in Aspen last year,” a source told HELLO!.
“Lewis was there with three of his friends and some of his team members, but they still managed to have an intimate chat together and there appeared to be chemistry between them inside the bash.”
Despite the apparent connection, both were cautious about appearances.
“However, they were careful not to be pictured together and left separately at the time, it seemed as though they were both trying to play it cool as it’s clearly still early days for them both.”
Cotswolds weekend fuels rumours
Weeks after the Aspen party, speculation intensified.
The Sun reported that Kim had flown to the UK on her private jet to spend a romantic weekend with Lewis in the Cotswolds.
According to the report, the Skims founder stayed at Estelle Manor, where the pair reportedly had exclusive access to a private spa and shared an intimate dinner away from public view.
Neither Kim nor Lewis has commented publicly on the reports.
Romantic weekend in Paris?
The rumours gathered pace again this weekend after cameras caught Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton travelling together between the UK and Paris.
They arrived at a Paris hotel on Monday afternoon, pulling up in an SUV alongside their teams.
TMZ reported the two had flown in together by private jet from the UK.
The trip followed what The Sun described as a “very romantic” stay in the Cotswolds, where Kim and Lewis were said to have spent time together at the luxury Estelle Manor before heading to France.
