Josh Allen created a moment to remember at Bills training camp on Thursday, surprising a fan with Ryder Cup tickets.
The Buffalo quarterback spotted 22-year-old Nathan Forrestel in the autograph line after the final session at St. John Fisher University.
Forrestel, who was born with cerebral palsy, is a regular at camp and runs the Instagram account “Nate the Golf Guy,” which has more than 45,000 followers.
Allen, an avid golfer himself, walked over and made the offer. “I’ve got a question for you,” Allen said. “I’ve got two tickets to the Ryder Cup. They’re yours if you want them.”
Forrestel’s stunned reaction was caught on camera and quickly spread online. Allen later explained why he wanted to make the gesture.
He said: “Obviously, it’s in New York this year. So why not have the only New York team send some of our Bills Mafia fans over there? Nate’s a great guy, he golfs a lot. He’s got a good swing, so it was a cool moment.”
Allen’s love of golf is well known. He has played in multiple PGA Tour pro-ams, including Pebble Beach, and once gifted his offensive line custom-fit clubs and bags for Christmas.

Away from the golf course, Allen is dealing with the absence of his top running back on the practice field. James Cook is attending meetings but not taking part in drills as he seeks a new contract.
“James is who he is,” Allen said. “He’s one of the best running backs in the league. It would be crazy not to say we want him out there. We desperately want him out there with us and hopefully something can get done.”
Cook is entering the final year of his rookie deal and is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons, including an NFL-best 16 rushing touchdowns in 2024. Allen says he understands the business side.
“It’s wealth for you and your family. It’s not a small chunk of change. He’s still going through the mental reps. He’s a pro and he knows what he’s doing.”
