Holly Ramsay and Olympic swimming champion Adam Peaty married on Saturday in a star-studded ceremony at Bath Abbey in the UK, with family, friends, and high-profile guests gathering to mark the occasion.
Gordon Ramsay walked his daughter down the aisle, later sharing his pride in a public message as the couple tied the knot in the historic setting.
“I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law @adam_peaty!” Ramsay wrote on Instagram.
“I love you so much @hollyramsayy and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx.”
Guests arriving at the Abbey included David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, along with fellow celebrities from sport, television and business. Holly’s sisters Tilly and Megan served as bridesmaids, alongside Peaty’s sister Bethany.
Peaty, who turns 31 on Sunday, arrived earlier wearing a tuxedo and later posted a simple message to Instagram as the day began:
“Morning of our wedding.”
A wedding set against a family rift
While the ceremony itself was a celebration, the day also carried an undercurrent of tension. Peaty’s parents, Caroline and Mark, were not present at the wedding following a public fallout in the weeks leading up to it.
Caroline Peaty had previously spoken about not being invited to Holly’s hen do and later confirmed she would not attend the wedding. She said she had initially planned to travel to Bath to watch from a distance but ultimately chose not to go.
Despite their absence, Peaty’s sister Bethany attended and played a central role in the bridal party.
The situation placed an unexpected spotlight on the family dynamic, though neither Holly nor Adam addressed the issue publicly on the day itself.
A milestone moment for the couple
Holly, 25, arrived at the Abbey wearing a white cloak over her wedding dress, keeping its full design hidden as she entered alongside her father.
The couple announced their engagement in September 2024. At the time, Holly wrote: “I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now.”
Peaty added in his own post: “I can’t believe you’re going to be my wife. I’m truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side.”
