Caitlin Clark continued her rise as a global superstar this week, as Nike confirmed she will become a signature athlete.
The Indiana Fever guard will release her first shoe in 2026. The brand also unveiled her personal logo of interlocking Cs.
Nike explained the design features two large Cs with a smaller C placed between them. It represents Clark’s “magnetic connection” with fans.
The logo will debut on a T-shirt released on September 1. A larger apparel collection, featuring hoodies, shorts, and pants, will follow in October.
“Nike’s signature roster features all-time greats, and I am incredibly proud to join some of the best athletes in the world,” Clark said.
Ann Miller, Nike’s executive vice president of global sports marketing, praised Clark as “an exceptional basketball player and an outstanding ambassador for the game.”
A journey years in the making
Clark first signed with Nike in 2022 through a college NIL deal. She moved into a full endorsement upon entering the WNBA.
She has worn Kobe Bryant’s signature sneakers throughout her career. Nike even released personalised editions for her, including a Kobe 6 Protro this fall.
Her “Rookie of the Year” Kobe 5 Protro is scheduled for 2026. That release will pave the way for her own signature line.
Nike’s female basketball roster remains exclusive. A’ja Wilson launched her first shoe this year. Sabrina Ionescu already has three models in her Nike Sabrina series.
Clark will soon join them, reflecting her immense impact both on and off the court.
Clark’s growing influence
Her endorsement portfolio is one of the most lucrative in women’s sports. She also works with Gatorade, Gainbridge and Panini.
Clark ranked fourth on SportsPro’s 50 Most Marketable Athletes list in 2024. Her influence has only grown despite injuries this season.
Nike’s announcement confirms her position as a central figure in basketball’s future. She is not just Indiana Fever’s star, but a growing global icon.
