Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham are reportedly determined to keep one specific moment from their wedding locked away for good.
According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, the couple would be horrified if footage of Brooklyn dancing with his mother, Victoria Beckham, at their 2022 wedding ever became public.
Wedding footage the couple want kept private
“Brooklyn and Nicola are the only ones who have access to video,” a source familiar with the situation told PEOPLE.
“It’s an extremely embarrassing moment for them and it would not be good for Brooklyn’s mental health to see this circulating online,” the insider added.
“It’s one of the most humiliating moments of his life and he doesn’t want it to be seen by the world.”
The reported concern surfaced just one day after Brooklyn posted a lengthy and emotional message on social media addressing his long-running fallout with his family. In that post, he directly referenced the wedding moment that has since become central to the dispute.
What happened at the wedding
“My mum was waiting to dance with me,” Brooklyn wrote. “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Brooklyn and Nicola married in April 2022 at the Peltz family’s Palm Beach estate in front of nearly 600 guests. The event brought together much of the Beckham family, including Brooklyn’s father David Beckham and siblings Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
The guest list also included a number of high-profile names, with singer Marc Anthony performing during the reception.
That performance has featured prominently in earlier reporting, which revealed that the couple had planned their first dance to a specific Marc Anthony song. According to a source at the time, the moment took an unexpected turn.
“Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up … Victoria Beckham!’” the source told PEOPLE.

It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop,” a source said.
The situation escalated further when Victoria allegedly began slow dancing with her son, something one source described bluntly.
“It wasn’t appropriate,” the insider said, adding that guests then watched “Nicola run from the room crying.”
“It was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola,” the source continued. “What she couldn’t understand was why.”
Brooklyn echoed that sentiment in his recent statement, also alleging that his wife has faced repeated disrespect from his family.
“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one,” he wrote. “My [mum] has [repeatedly] invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.”
He later added: “I do not want to reconcile with my family.”
