Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson might want to check their mic next time. A newly surfaced video shows the couple caught mid-rant about NFL Films staff — and let’s just say the legendary coach wasn’t exactly impressed with the production team.
According to the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast, the footage dates back to the start of the 2024 NFL season, when Belichick was working on a short-lived NFL Films project called Coach.
Belichick and Hudson caught cold on hot mic
It featured Belichick, Matt Patricia, and Michael Lombardi breaking down big games. But before the cameras rolled, Belichick and Hudson were already reviewing everyone else.
In the leaked clip, Hudson criticizes the graphics and set design before whispering to Belichick, “I don’t know how they have four full-time graphics people.” His reply is blunt: “They can’t do s***.”
The pair keep muttering about staff performance, even discussing who they could hire to “fix things.” Torre says the control room at NFL Films heard every word live through the couple’s hot mics. Awkward doesn’t even start to cover it.
The timing only adds to Belichick’s problems. His first season at North Carolina has already turned chaotic, with reports of tension and a 2–3 record.
Jordon Hudson running the show?
Torre’s new episode portrays Hudson as an unusually powerful figure in Belichick’s world. She has a hand in everything from production meetings to team emails.
It’s not the first time she’s drawn headlines. Earlier this year, Hudson interrupted Belichick’s CBS Mornings interview, a moment that quickly went viral and sparked talk about their off-field dynamic.
Torre says the footage reflects the same “power dynamic” now surrounding UNC, where Hudson and Lombardi supposedly have Belichick’s ear above everyone else.
UNC insists she was never banned from the team’s facilities, though a dozen sources told Torre the opposite.
The Athletic also obtained emails showing Belichick copying Hudson on messages to UNC administrators. In one, she offered “guidance” to the school’s media team.
For Belichick, who once ruled the NFL with an iron hoodie, this chapter feels more like a campus soap opera than a comeback.
