KEVIN DURANT GETS REJECTED AS ON-AIR FLIRTING WITH REPORTER GOES AWKWARDLY WRONG

NBA superstar Kevin Durant appeared to flirt with a sports reporter during an interview on the FanDuel show ‘Up and Adams’.

The Houston Rockets forward ‘shot his shot’ with journalist Kay Adams during a segment on the show.

In a clip that has since gone viral, Durant attempts to convince Adams to travel down to the ‘Bayou City’ in order to watch a game.

Durant began his invite by suggesting he ‘expected’ the reporter to make the trip. However, Adams was not having any of it, and immediately shook her head, giving Durant a ‘nuh-uh’ of disapproval.

“I came to a game and you did not even… you literally would not even wave,” Adams told the NBA star.

Durant tried to defend himself. The basketball forward mentioned that he only found out about Adams attending in the following week.

She hit back, saying: “Kevin I think I literally told you I was at the game, I said “See you tonight.”

Durant attempted to move the conversation on: “It’s all good, that’s old news… we’re moving on to the next season, and I’ll see you at one of these games in Houston. We’re going for barbecue down in Texas when you get out here.”

The 37-year-old revealed that playing for Houston and living down there feels like ‘home’, thanks to the ‘Southern hospitality’. Durant knows all about Texas having played college basketball there in the early years of his career.

“You gon’ see once you get down here, I ain’t gonna keep telling you, you’re just gonna have to immerse yourself in the culture once you get down here,” Durant argued as he continued his invitation efforts.

Adams was not impressed, adding: “I feel like… fool me once… fool me twice.”

Durant then hilariously replied: “Wow… alright, bye Kay.”

Viewers were somewhat stunned by Durants advances, with the comment section filling up with shocked fans.

One viewer wrote: “Celebrities asking people out on Twitter is either super smooth or incredibly awkward. No in-between.”

Another one joked: “KD finally tryna lock in and get a family I love to see it.”

Durant was traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Rockets as a key part in a seven-team deal – which was the largest in NBA history.

Last season, the NBA star hit the 30,000 point mark – but suffered a season-ending injury and watched as his Phoenix Suns team missed the playoffs.
