Brooklyn Nets star Michael Porter Jr. has revealed his unusual techniques for dating women.
The single former Denver Nugget spoke candidly on the One Night with Steiny podcast about ‘testing’ women on their beliefs and seeing their reactions to certain subject matters.
One dating tactic he has adopted is showing clips from controversial British-American influencer Andrew Tate clips to see how women react; although he didn’t clarify whether he would want the woman to agree or disagree with Tate.
“One thing I do, and then the other thing I do is, like, I need to see a little bit about their, like, beliefs. So, like, I’m not saying I’m a misogynist or anything, but I’ll throw on some Andrew Tate and see how they react,” Porter Jr. said.
“Or I’ll bring up, like, conversations and play, like, devil’s advocate just to see how this girl, like, thinks about certain things.
“I do like to test girls. You do it because you’ve got to protect your time and energy. That’s why I don’t think it’s a bad strategy where you have people slide in and see. How do they pass that test then? Because you obviously like them.”
Porter Jr. also explained that need would only date women that “bring something to the table.”
“I don’t mind providing for you, I don’t mind doing that,” he said.
“You can stay at the crib, you can do your thing. You gotta bring something to the table. You gotta help me mentally, you gotta be able to cook or something… otherwise what value are you bringing to my life. These girls nowadays it’s like they just want to live like queens and do absolutely nothing.”
Porter also revealed he is wary of women that have been in relationships with other sports stars.
“There was one girl I really liked… She used to talk to a dude in the league, and I was like, “I just can’t do it, because if I’m cooking him and he’s allowed to say that’s why I hit your girl,” Porter Jr. said.
