WATCH: HUGE MLB BRAWL ERUPTS WITH PUNCHES THROWN AS HOME RUN CELEBRATION GOES WRONG

Fans watching Tuesday’s MLB game between the Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants were given a lot more action than originally expected.

Punches were thrown and the benches were cleared in the first inning of the heated encounter.

The incident was ignited by San Francisco star Rafael Devers, who delivered a tasty homer early in the game.

Devers waited and watched the ball sail into the stands before running through the bases.

The baseball star seemingly irked pitcher Kyle Freeland with his reaction, causing the two men to share words.

As Freeland berated his rival, the two men were kept apart by first-base umpire Dan Bellino.

Things quickly escalated, with both teams swarming the field and the players getting physical.

Devers slammed for lack of respect

Freeland, who was one of three men ejected after the scuffle, continued to vent his frustrations to the media.

The Colorado Rockies star accused his rival of being ‘disrespectful’, claiming the reaction to his home run was unnecessary.

He said: “Extremely disrespectful to show me up like that in the first inning after hitting a home run.

“Standing there, watching it, taking your sweet time getting down to first base.

“I’ve been in this league quite some time, and I know he has as well.

“I just find that extremely disrespectful, and I felt that I needed to let him know about that.”

Devers also shared his thoughts to the press after the match.

The San Francisco Giants star his back at his rival saying: “I don’t know why he got like that.

“I didn’t do anything wrong. I mean, I did the same thing I do every time I hit a home run.”

The Giants went on to claim an impressive 7-4 victory over the Rockies in front of a paltry crowd.

With the two teams set to go head-to-head again on Wednesday, this recent incident may give the ticket sales a much needed boost.
