Players and spectators at Chicago’s Wrigley Field were given more than they bargained for after a terrifying jet flyover during an MLB game.
The wild moment took place in the seventh inning of Chicago’s tilt against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Hollywood actor Hayden Christensen and his daughter had just started to lead the crowd with a rendition of ‘Take Me Out To The Ballgame’, but were interrupted by the unexpected moment.

The “Star Wars” actor was certainly surprised, but like a true professional, he laughed it off and finished the song.
A jet from the Chicago Air & Water Show was responsible for the incident after it took a little detour from its usual route.
As the jet powered over the stadium, Chicago Cubs players were seen diving for cover. Justin Turner hit the deck alongside a staff member, while another member of the team was seen cupping his ears.

Chicago Cubs looking to overturn losing form
While the moment provided many laughs, there was nothing to cheer on the field as the Cubs lost the game 3-2.
Chicago currently hold a 68–53 record and are sitting in 2nd place in the National League Central. They are trailing the division-leading Brewers by nine games as we head into these final weeks of the regular season.
The Cubs have suffered back-to-back defeats, taking their record for their last 10 games to 3-7.
While the team remain in playoff contention, Chicago will need to start turning their form around if they are to make some noise later in the year.
Offense has certainly cooled off since the All-Star Break, with influential players like Kyle Tucker, Ian Happ, and Dansby Swanson struggling. To add to their worries, Chicago’s run differential superiority has eroded, sparking comparisons to their infamous 1977 collapse.
