New York Yankees star Anthony Volpe shocked his fans after bringing a stunning date to a charity event on Monday.
The 24-year-old shortstop posed for pictured with the mystery blonde at a silent auction organised by the Carlos Rodon Foundation in Greenwich.
Volpe has struggled for form this season, hitting just .207 with 19 home runs and 70 RBIs throughout 140 games.
His dip in performance, which included a .136 with a .480 OPS over a recent 30-game stretch, saw Volpe slip to ninth in the starting lineup.
On top of that, the shortstop leads the American League in errors, raising concerns about his defensive reliability and his position for the upcoming playoffs.
Despite his troubles, former stars Derek Jeter and CC Sabathia have both showed their support for the player. They have both publicly backed the young Yankee, telling fans that the current dip is just part of his development.

Volpes date for the charity event has been identified as Elle Jowett.
The pair posted for pictured alongside Rodon and his wife Ashley at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor – a glamorous hotel.
Monday’s auction was set up in order to help couples facing infertility and pregnancy issues. The Rodons co-founded the charity following their own pregnancy loss and emotional IVF journey.
Despite the important reason for the silent auction, it was Volpe and Jowett who stole the headlines.
Neither party has addressed the relationship rumors, though fans are beginning to ask questions following their recent public appearance.
There is not a lot of information about Jowett at this present time.
Back in December 2023, the secret woman participated in a TikTok interview where she revealed she was a student.
Nevertheless, Jowett is verified on Instagram and shares her content with upwards of 16,000 followers.
There are a lot of unanswered questions, however some subtle signs are beginning to show up.
For instance, some Yankees WAGs have left comments on Jowett’s Instagram. This includes Rodon and Chase Carter – the wife of Cody Bellinger.
Interestingly, Jowett and Volpe have followed each other on the social media platform.
