JAKE PAUL MOCKS GERVONTA DAVIS’ HEIGHT IN LATEST FACEOFF MISMATCH

Jake Paul is already stoking the fires ahead of his ‘exhibition’ fight with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis by mocking the lightweight world champion’s size at their latest promotional faceoff.

At a press conference ahead of their November 14 Netflix fight, the 6ft 1in cruiserweight Paul loomed over the 5ft5in Davis and bent down to meet the controversial southpaw at eye level.

On X he posted a video of the meeting with the caption ‘bring your kid to work day’.

The Florida Athletic Commission have officially billed the fight as an exhibition but it is already causing concern among fight fans because of the difference in size between the two protagonists.

Not only is height and reach an issue, but Paul weighed in at over 65 pounds more than Davis at their latest fights.

Promoter Nakisa Bidarian announced the rules of the upcoming fight, revealing there will be three ringside judges to score the contest in case it goes the distance and a winner announced. The ten round bout will be held at a maximum catchweight of 195 pounds with both fighters wearing 12-ounce gloves.

The Miami fight, which is being shown on Netflix will not count on either Paul’s of Davis’ professional records. Paul has 12 wins and one loss, while Davis has 30 victories and one draw.

“There will be a victor because the fighters have agreed and the commission has approved a maximum weight of 195lb for this exhibition,” Bidarian said.

“When Tank and Jake enter the squared circle to go to battle, they will be wearing 12oz gloves.

“Sitting ringside will be three commission-approved world-class professional judges that will score every round to ensure there’s a decisive outcome for the fight if it goes the distance.

“And both men are enrolled in the highest level of testing with Usada (US Anti-Doping Agency).”

Paul discussed the size of Davis at the press conference saying he was “practicing hitting below my knees. … We’re sparring some 8-year-olds.”

But Davis ignored the jibes and focussed on the fight.

“If I find out anything, I’m going to beat your ass and beat J’Leon Love’s ass,” he said.
