Jake Paul match fixing accusations have finally pushed the boxing disruptor into full legal attack mode.
After months of taunts, memes and rumours, Paul has brought in powerhouse attorney Alex Spiro to go after anyone accusing him of rigging fights.
The tipping point came after his 2024 decision win over Mike Tyson, when critics claimed the fight looked more like business than a real contest.
Paul’s not brushing it off anymore. He’s brought in one of America’s top lawyers and wants it known: keep calling his fights fake, and you’ll be hearing from his legal team.
Alex Spiro, who has represented Elon Musk and Jay-Z, didn’t hold back in his warning:
“I’ve been retained by Mr. Paul to pursue legal redress for the damages he has suffered. If someone uses their public soapbox to harm him and the sport with lies, there will be consequences.”
That won’t surprise Paul’s long-time critics.
Piers Morgan, Sylvester Stallone, Oscar De La Hoya and even Michael Irvin all made headlines for questioning the Tyson fight’s legitimacy. Stallone later apologised.
Footage showed Tyson looking unsteady in the later rounds, fuelling widespread speculation that Jake Paul engages in match fixing.
Most Valuable Promotions responded quickly, confirming that the bout had full sanctioning from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. They also stressed there were “absolutely no restrictions” on either fighter.
Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s business partner at MVP, broke his silence earlier this summer. “Enough is enough,” he said. “These rumours are beyond lunacy. Anyone repeating them will face legal pushback, not just from Jake, but from us.”
Paul has been in this territory before.
In 2022, he accused Matchroom Boxing and judge Glenn Feldman of fixing fights involving Katie Taylor and Oleksandr Usyk.
That accusation triggered a $100million defamation suit from Eddie Hearn, but Paul stood firm.
“I’m 5-0 in lawsuits and 5-0 in the ring,” he told MMA Junkie at the time. The case reached a private settlement in April 2025, with both sides agreeing to dismiss it.
Now, the tables have turned. Paul is the one filing lawsuits.
Sources close to the case say Morgan, Irvin, and UFC-linked names like Paddy Pimblett, Tommy Fury and Dillon Danis are all under legal review.
Each of them has either questioned Paul’s fight outcomes or mocked him publicly since the Tyson win.
One insider close to Spiro’s team spelt it out clearly:
“Keep accusing Jake of fight-fixing, and you’ll get a letter. If you ignore it, you’ll get a subpoena.”
