November’s blockbuster fight between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis is set to receive a major boost, with a four-weight world champion expected to join the fun.
The main event itself is expected to attract global viewership as the social media star continues his unorthodox career.
Paul boasts a 12-1 professional record having boxed with a wide variety of boxers.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer last boxed in June when he picked up a unanimous decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Last November, Paul was involved in arguably his most high-profile bout, when he picked up a unanimous decision win over Mike Tyson.
Unlike the nearly 60-year-old boxing legend, Paul’s next opponent will be at the very peak of his powers.
Davis, who is a three-division world champion, boasts a 30-0-1 record, with 28 of those victories coming by way of knockout.
While the difference in weight is significant, Davis will be looking to utilise his boxing skills when he takes on Paul in one of the biggest boxing exhibitions of all time.
Big boost on the undercard
The main event is already set, but the brains behind the show are now working hard to put together an exciting undercard.
One name which could make an unexpected appearance is four-division world champion, Nonito Donaire.
The Filipino-American boxing legend has been a pro boxer for 24 years, making his debut back in 2001.
Throughout his career, the 42-year-old has built an impressive 43-8 record, with 28 of those victories coming by way of knockout.
In 2022, Donaire lost his WBC bantamweight championship to Naoya Inoue, losing by a second-round TKO.
The boxing icon made his boxing return earlier this year, picking up a high-profile victory over Andres Campos.
The victory saw Donaire re-capture the interim bantamweight title and he is now expected to feature on the undercard of Paul vs Davis.
