FLOYD MAYWEATHER MOCKS ‘HATERS’ WITH STACKS OF CASH AMID MIKE TYSON FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT

Floyd Mayweather mocked his haters on Friday in trademark fashion, as he showed off stacks of cash on his private jet.

The former multi-time world champion was inundated with hate after announcing a shock boxing bout with Mike Tyson.

Mayweather is set to fight the former heavyweight king in a 2026, though a specific date is yet to be announced.

CSI Sports and Fight Sports are the organisers behind the event as they look to cash in on what promises to be a highly marketable exhibition.

Mayweather, who is 48, will have to contend with a huge weight disparity, considering Tyson, aged 59, weighed just shy of 230lbs for his bout with Jake Paul.

Fight announcement gets mixed reaction

While the world’s biggest media outlets covered the announcement, it’s fair to say that the reaction online was very much mixed.

Many reacted negatively to the announcement, with some comments describing the event as nothing more than a ‘cash grab’.

Speaking of cash, Mayweather hit back at his haters in true Mayweather style.

The boxing icon appeared to be on a private jet, with stacks of cash on the table.

As he moved the money from the table into a bag, he joked: “S***. I’m pretty sure I’d be upset too if I were somebody else, I’d be mad at Mayweather, too.

“How the f*** for 29-30 years you can keep getting money like this? I’d be mad too, s***, I’d be hating on Mayweather too.

“Continue to hate, people only talk about winners, I’m a winner so continue to talk. Keep the bread fresh, put it in a bag. Call me the bread man.”

Tyson also reacted to the fight news in playful fashion. The former heavyweight champion posted a light-hearted threat on his social media channels.

He said: “I still can’t believe Floyd wants to really do this. It’s going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it’s signed and it’s happening!”
