CHRIS EUBANK JR SHARES SHOCKING HOSPITAL VIDEO, ADMITS POOR HEALTH ‘FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO ME’

Chris Eubank Jr has revealed he is dealing with serious health problems, sharing worrying hospital footage weeks after his rematch with Conor Benn.

The middleweight star posted the clip on Tuesday, showing himself unconscious in a medical facility while staff prepared him for an examination.

Chris Eubank Jr confirms health issues

Eubank said the issues have been building for a long time. In his caption, he wrote: “I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues over the last year, and yeah, it all finally caught up to me last month.” He added that he has no plans to fight until he is fully healthy again.

The video showed the 36-year-old on his side with his eyes closed as a team of medics worked around him.

At one point his arm was lifted from his body and repositioned, a moment that led fans to call for the former boxing champion to step away from the sport.

“I will not box again until I’m back to 100% and I don’t know when that will be, but one things for certain… For the fans that have supported me through thick and thin, I will do everything in my power to make sure that one day, the old me makes a big comeback.”

Eubank Jr stopped short of explaining the exact health issues he is facing.

Benn beats Eubank Jr in grudge rematch

The update arrived only weeks after his unanimous-decision loss to Benn at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The rematch came with huge pressure and heavy scrutiny, and Eubank had described it as “very personal” in the build-up.

He previously told TMZ Sports that he planned to beat Benn in a “devastating fashion,” but he struggled from the opening round.

His weight cuts have been a major concern. Eubank was hospitalised for two days after their first fight due to dehydration, and he again pushed his body to extreme levels for the rematch.

He made 159.1lbs, just under the 160lb contractual limit, after days of sweating in suits, working out in a sauna, and draining fluid to meet the conditions agreed for the payday.

Ben Shalom supports Eubank Jr

Promoter Ben Shalom hinted at the toll it took. Speaking at the post-fight press conference, he said:

“All I want to say is what Chris went through in camp, he won’t want to talk about it, but the things I saw, he did incredibly well to get in the ring tonight.

I just want to say, he’s the reason this has been so big.” When Eubank shouted across the room, Shalom replied, “I know you don’t.”

Shalom continued: “Chris doesn’t want to say it but I saw what I saw and he deserves a huge amount of credit to get in there tonight. It was an unbelievable spectacle.”

Before storming out, Eubank added his own line on the matter. “I’ve been through hell and back to make it here today,” he said.

“I genuinely thought that regardless of the issues that I’ve been dealing with, I would be able to go in there and win.”
